and yes, i can totally remember what happened last year man. like supp papers wasn't enought for us huuuuuuuh. LOL. damn censorship. and hmmmm, true we can't really express what we really feel but aiyah, not bad la the show (: it was pretty nice seeing the students discover who they are and finding a place they can call 'home'. i'm a sucker for shows like that, i swear. =\

hello all,
the past week was overloaded with movies. i mean it is pretty rare i catch three movies in five days judging my pathetic financial situation (5 bucks from mum, a day =\)
music and lyrics was a tad overrated by everyone but good nevertheless. freedom writers was, like mel mentioned. AWESOME (thank god we have the freedom to write whatever we want. i mean, think handmaids tale, think gilead. goodness; as much as i hate writing essays for school, i still appreciate the chance to pen or really type down my thoughts from time to time. honestly, it's quite tiring to be talking all the time.) and the number 23 is definitely worth more than the 2 stars 8-days gave it!
anyway, i attended service with rev mark conner last night. he preached about the 5 styles of connecting with God. here are the five:
1) the comtemplative style
- this type of person feel most connected to Him when they are alone. they love solitude and quietness.
2) the intellectual style
- this group of people require their minds to be fully challenged.
eg: they love to study the bible and are very often the people who are able to give reasons for out faith.
3) the serving style
- these are action-orientated people in the sense that they feel God most when they are using their God given gifts to serve others around them. they are people on the move, and one good example of people from this group is the great mother theresa
4) the relational style
- matthew 18:20
"For where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them.”
people who belong to this category believe strongly in the verse above. they feel closest to God when they are in a group and they enjoy working with people from all over.
5) the charismatic style
- this group of people are those who love praise and worship, prayer meetings etc. they feel the movement of God most in a strong worship and spiritual atmosphere.
although it is said that we are supposed to have a balance of all five in our lives, i feel that i belong more to groups 1 and 5; but well, i believe we're learning everyday. maybe in time to come, i will acquire all five styles and hence experience God's fullness in my life. (:
* fruitfulness is the by-product of connecting with God.
okay, random i know, but i really wanna join the church choir lehhhhhhhhhhh. anyway, easter's in a week's time. so there's going to be an exciting weekend coming up in church (: and benny hinn is coming to town the week after next so it's gonna be a weekend in the singapore indoor stadium. powerful powerful weekends!!!
not forgetting, besties simren and chenya are going to turn 18 soon. many many birthday celebrations coming up soooooooooooon.
it's going to be monday AGAIN in less than 24 hours' time,
oh god, grant me strength and energy to survive another week of school.

and well although it's the weekend, i think i should attempt to read through some notes. so much work pending; i have to read through
1) one and a quarter year worth of geog notes,
2) all of this years econs notes,
3) handmaid's tale, great expectations and poe!
OMG, KILL MEEEEEEEEEE NOW! time to really focus and study hard for what i want.although my working pace seems to be way too low my expectations, but like gi would say, "slow and steady wins the race!"

freaking cool elbow moves and all but i have to admit i was sleeping 1/4 of the time. plus i got a top at esprit at half pirce and saw a certain mr leow that made me a happy girl! (:

ON HOLIDAY!
praise the lord! the long long awaited march holidays have faithfully arrived after ten gruelling weeks of school( not really ten for me actually considering i USED to miss school quite often)
and thanks to the beautiful fact that school ended at an amazingly early hour (12!) today, i am back in the comforts of my home sweet home already. shall do some exercise, catch up with prison break (wentworth! is LOVE) before heading back to school for ROCKAFELLA tonight.
